On August 9, 2022, CREC completed the world's first rare earth permanent magnet maglev rail transit project test line, the "Red Rail", in Xingguo County, Jiangxi Province.

The rare earth permanent magnetic levitation rail transit system realizes the perfect combination of permanent magnetic levitation technology and air rail technology. It is a new magnetic levitation technology route after electromagnetic levitation and superconducting maglev. It is another major achievement in the application of rare earth materials and the research of permanent magnetic levitated rail systems. It has completely independent intellectual property rights in China.
