In the afternoon of September 14th, vice-president of China Railway Group Limited (CREC) Ren Hongpeng met Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria H.E. Zhang Haizhou at the headquarters of CREC, discussing the cooperation of the “16+1: Global Partnership Center” between China and Bulgaria.

Vice-president Ren expressed his welcome to H.E. Ambassador Zhang and pointed out that the “16+1: Global Partnership Center” is a wonderful conception, and the successful implementation of it will play an important role for Chinese enterprises to know the East European market and make accurate judgment of the regional situation in terms of politics, economy and laws etc. CERC will actively participate in related activities held by the Embassy and other organizations.

Ambassador Zhang welcomed CREC to participate in Bulgarian market and praised CREC for its role played in China’s “Going Global” strategy. He later introduced the current progress and the follow-up idea of the “16+1: Global Partnership Center”. He emphasized on the cooperation methods proposed by China and Bulgaria. As a key conception underlined by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang during his visit to Eastern Europe in July of this year, “16+1: Global Partnership Center”is banked on the in-depth and systematic study of the countries in Eastern Europe to promote China-Eastern Europe cooperation, to facilitate collaborations between governments, NGOs, enterprises of China and European countries, and to enhance mutual understanding and, achieve win-win results. For the following up cooperation plan, Ambassador Zhang spoke highly of CREC’s plan for implementing the concept and expected to maintain close communications and jointly promote the concept.
